Its coordinates (-21.8025, -49.6100) place it within a transitional zone between the more densely populated areas closer to the state capital and the expanding agricultural frontier of western São Paulo. The surrounding landscape is predominantly characterized by rolling hills and fertile plains, heavily dedicated to sugarcane and soybean cultivation. This agricultural activity, while economically vital, contributes significantly to potential air quality concerns through the use of agricultural machinery and, seasonally, controlled burns for land preparation. The city’s position isn’t directly adjacent to major bodies of water, though it lies within the broader Paraná River basin. Cafelândia’s urban character is that of a small, developing city, experiencing a gradual urban-rural gradient as it expands outwards.
