Bensalem, Pennsylvania, occupies a strategic, yet complex, position within the Delaware Valley. Located in Bucks County, approximately 18 miles northeast of Philadelphia, the township’s geography is largely defined by its relatively flat, low-lying terrain, part of the Atlantic Coastal Plain. The elevation hovers around 23 feet above sea level, contributing to limited natural air dispersion. Bensalem borders the Delaware River to the east, a significant factor influencing local humidity and potential for fog formation, which can trap pollutants.
