Its coordinates, -27.2022, 152.9591, place it within a gently undulating landscape transitioning from the coastal lowlands towards the more rugged terrain of the D’Aguilar Range. The area is characterised by a predominantly rural-residential urban form, reflecting a gradual urban–rural gradient as one moves away from the major urban centres. Narangba sits within the Pine Rivers catchment, with several creeks and waterways threading through the area, contributing to a relatively humid microclimate.
