The city’s terrain is largely flat, characteristic of the alluvial plains formed by the Yellow River, though subtle undulations exist. With an elevation of approximately 60-70 meters above sea level, Yangshuwa benefits from relatively mild temperature gradients but is susceptible to stagnant air masses. The surrounding landscape is dominated by intensive agricultural zones, primarily wheat and maize cultivation, interspersed with smaller industrial clusters focused on food processing and light manufacturing. The proximity to larger industrial hubs within Henan, such as Zhengzhou, contributes to regional pollution transport.
