Chapeltique, nestled within the San Miguel department of El Salvador, occupies a geographically complex position. Located at coordinates 13.6333, -88.2667, the city is situated in a valley environment, characteristic of much of central El Salvador. The surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic hills and mountains, remnants of the country’s active geological history, creating a bowl-like topography that can trap air.
