Located at coordinates 14.1333, -89.5000, the city sits at an elevation of approximately 1,380 meters (4,527 feet) above sea level, contributing to cooler temperatures than coastal regions. The surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic peaks and rolling hills, characteristic of El Salvador’s volcanic plateau.
