Located at approximately 16.1026° N latitude and 80.7807° E longitude, the town sits on a gently undulating terrain, characteristic of the Deccan Plateau. Its elevation, around 30 meters above sea level, contributes to a relatively stable atmospheric layer, which can, under certain conditions, exacerbate pollution accumulation. The surrounding landscape is predominantly rural, a patchwork of agricultural fields cultivating crops like rice, pulses, and groundnuts, interspersed with scrubland and sparse vegetation.
