The terrain is gently undulating, transitioning from coastal plains to slightly higher ground as one moves inland. This location, while not directly on the coast, is heavily influenced by maritime air masses, contributing to high humidity levels. The surrounding landscape is predominantly agricultural, characterized by rice paddies and subsistence farming, with pockets of deciduous dry forest.
