Eastham, a coastal town within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, occupies a unique geographic position on the banks of the River Mersey, directly opposite the industrial heartland of Ellesmere Port and the wider Liverpool City Region. Its coordinates (53.3130, -2.9620) place it within a relatively flat, low-lying landscape, typical of the Cheshire Plain. The terrain is predominantly mudflats and reclaimed marshland, historically shaped by the River Mersey’s tidal influence.
