Bankass, situated in the Mopti Region of Mali at coordinates 14.0775°N, -3.5158°W, is a town deeply embedded within the Sahelian landscape. The terrain is predominantly flat to gently undulating savanna, characteristic of the Inland Niger Delta’s southern fringe.
